Nigel Baber Memorial Award
For Fair Play

Vince Fuller shows his appreciation of Nigel's refereeing

The late Nigel Baber will be known to many of the current British United membership.  He was himself a member of BUFC for several years.  Although Nigel never actually played for a BUFC team, he supported the Club, ran the bar at Mechelen for 3 years, became a non-playing Captain of the 4th team and, in his best remembered roll, was a fully qualified referee who refereed many BUFC games.  Nigel, who died on 25 March, 2000, is an Honorary member of British United.  BUFC remembers Nigel annually by awarding, in his name, an award to the player who best demonstrates the spirit of fair play.
