Dear Club Members,

Last week I visited the child that I sponsor in the Lufwanyama region of Zambia. This region is in the Copperbelt area of Zambia, and in the rural areas, the people are amongst the poorest in the country. I sponsor a child through an organisation called World Vision, currently 75000 children in Zambia are sponsored through this organisation, yet they still require a further 15000 sponsors for Zambia alone. Whist visiting my sponsored child, I also took the opportunity to visit the school that she attends. I took a number of gifts and educational equipment to donate to the school including a complete strip from our previous BUFC kit. The school were extremely grateful for these donations and I would like to thank Dave Lees and his committee for agreeing to donate the football kit, where I'm certain that it will be put to good use by the children of the school.
